Verse of the Day

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. [John 14:26 – NKJV]

How neat was Pentecost? Just imagine God indwelling in each of us! We are tabernacles! But, what exactly does this mean? Part of the conversion process that occurs when we become Believers results in the Law being engrafted in our hearts. The Holy Spirit helps us discern what sin is, and when we are about to engage in it He sends a gentle reminder that a particular course of action might not be what God had in mind for us. The Spirit also helps us withstand temptation. And when we sin, the Spirit convicts us of the sin so that we can immediately turn to God to seek forgiveness.

The Spirit also provides guidance in our lives, indicating which path we should choose. Should it be the high road or the low road? By the way, this has nothing to do with getting to Scotland! The Holy Spirit is probably the least understood and talked about member of the Trinity, but for us as Believers, He plays a huge role in our everyday lives. The Apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 5:25, “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” The Spirit leads us into the ways of holiness and in the direction of Christ. So, we should strive to stay in step with Him! Thank you, Jesus for sending the Wise Counselor to us!
